I lost my sweet boy
I lost my sweet baby boy on Friday. He was 18.5 and lived a long happy life. I've had him since the day he was born. I was with him on his way in and with him on his way out. I can't stop crying. He was such a good, beautiful boy. I realize that he's been with me for almost half my life. I miss him so much.
Here's my sweet boy, Jimi.
and here's a pic of Jimi and his sweet sister Sami. She passed away in May. Just a day before she was to turn 18. It's been a shitty year for us.

aww kris, my deepest condolences go out to you and many hugs. They were both very beautiful cats.
I lost my Rottie Mattie last year, losing her was the worst pain I ever had.

Thanks, Nightdragon. I'm so thankful I have my other babies around (2 cats and my doggie) or else I think I would lose it. Sorry to hear about your Mattie. This is serious, heartbreaking pain.

Its so hard especially when they are such a large part of the family, in our house we have no kids and the dogs and cat are the children. to lose one was something I knew would happen, but I never knew it would hurt like that.
Again hugs to you

Kris, I'm sorry. They were beautiful--and full of personality, I'll bet. You must have taken excellent care of them--they lived really long lives!

Thanks Shinola. They had personality in spades. They were playful and funny until the end. They are my babies and I did everything for them. Best foods, vet care, love and lot's of attention. I know I was very lucky to have them for so many years.
We're the same Night, the dog and cats are like out children. It's just us and them.

You filled their lives with love and companionship, from their infancy to their passing onto the next plane.
Be joyous, you were their family. Now they're passing your ownership to new cats who will no doubt take very good care of a previously enjoyed human

I'm so sorry. I lost my cats two years ago and I still miss them horribly. The pain gets a little bit better over time but I still sometimes think I see them or I'll have a dream about them and wake up crying. Try to remember that they had long happy full lives and that's really the best you can ask for.

Thanks Grimm....That's a great way to look at it. I'm their previously enjoyed human and I've been passed to the next generation of cats that will pass through my door
atrayubrandy, thank you. You certainly know how I feel These little creatures worm their way into our hearts and seem to stick around longer than we realize.

So sorry to hear! Man, that sucks!
I lost my cat 2 years ago (his name was Chester) to heart cancer. Best cat in the world.
It still hurts to think about it, I understand your pain.
You're in my thoughts and prayers hun!

So sorry to hear this - pets take up such a big part of your heart, the loss can be devastating.
I hope you do pass on more of that love to a new generation of 'kids', and hold tight the memories you have. I'm not religious, but you're in my thoughts - I know how special the relationship with one can be.
