Default Dogs sleep in the strangest places

Submitter dixibell shares this too-cute-for-words photo of her Labrador retriever, whose favorite napping spot, dixibell says, is right on top of the flowers in this ornate planter.
We were so impressed by this pup's childlike ability to fall asleep in a seemingly uncomfortable spot that we decided to take a spin through one of our favorite Your Scene photo galleries, Just Five More Minutes, to see what other odd dog-napping spots we could find there.
We weren't disappointed! See where sleeping dogs lie after the jump. And if you have a great photo you'd like to share, we'd love to see it -- head on over to Your Scene and click the "Submit a photo or video" link at the top of the page.

That poor l'il guy with his nose stuck in an old sneaker! Ew! Pets enjoy funny smelling stuff though.

    These are so cute!

My mom's fat cat, DT, loved to squeeze his chubby behind in this tiny little box. He would wiggle his way down into it and before it broke, it started resembling more of a circle than anything. When it finally collapsed, he refused to move. I guess he was in denial that his fave napping spot was gone.

My husband's parents had friends whose 2 black labs liked to sleep up on tree branches. This was an old Texas ranching family. One night they were having one of their parties outside and one of the male guests started screaming "Run-there are panthers in the trees!!" Now how he thought panthers were in Texas,I do not know-alcohol may have played a part here. Anyway, they had a hard time calming him down! Both dogs slept through it all.

These are so cute! My dog finds some strange places/positions to sleep in. It can't be comfortable!

Our cat loves to curl up in the laundry basket with clothes fresh from the dryer. the other likes to curl up on top of my husband's slippers.

My own dog is such a princess, he wouldn't dream of shoehorning his big ass in anything that isn't 100% comfortable.
