They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks but it appears he can pass his skills on to a younger puppy.
Freddie the Jack Russell has been horse riding on the back of his friend Daisy, a Shetland pony, for five years.
And now the seven-year-old terrier has handed his knowledge to his young friend Percy.
Freddie lives with owner Patricia Swinley, 73, in Flaxley, Gloucestershire. He was riding on Daisy one day when Percy leapt up to join him.

Now the pair take it in turns to ride on the pony, although they apparently sometimes squabble over who gets to go first.
The pair even ride in a little cart pulled by Daisy and have become celebrities among locals in the village.

Percy is owned by Patricia's friend Sally Jones.
Patricia told the Daily Mirror that ageing Freddie needs a boost. 'He's getting on a bit now and can't leap up there anymore, so we have to lift him on,' she said.
