not to be disrespectful but i just thought of the post i made about the prison groupies after hearing about poor jennifer hudson's sister and how her ex prison husband blew her family away and i'm thinking i need to go on the prison boards and warn those women that those guys are NOT what they want around their kids.

Won't make a difference. Women who accept men like that are thinking that their guy has been rehabilitated, or that he was innocent all along.

When I saw this thread again, I had to tell this. My daughter dances on a dance team and they danced a couple of weeks ago at a county fair. When I sat down under the pavillion, I noticed a large number of cops which I thought was weird. (My daughter's team was performing while the scores for a pageant were being tallied.) When they announced the winners, I discovered why so many cops were there. There are no words....

There is no way I believe that a large number of cops were on hand because of some rinky dink county fair pageant. They probably thought your danceteam daughters were strippers, because that is all I see at dance competitions!

Well, you know that is what I like to do with my spare time is get on the internet and tell lies to complete strangers. I said large number (4 cops to be exact) which is a large number for a county fair. They were on hand for mothers who lose it when their daughters lose, and in fact one did and had to be escorted away and made leave. As for strippers, yes, I have seen routines that are inappropriate. However, my daughter and her teammates are 7-8 year olds and danced to an old Sam Cook song-very Motown. They did a great job and were cute as bugs.

Red face Dont really know on this one!

If the girl wants to do it and the parents let her. Then its a self esteem for her .

Actually not far off as far as the behaviour of some studios/parents at dance competitions - or little league games!

Pageant mothers are the epitome of ladylike decorum as we have been shown by the lovely etiquette and text speech of the pink boards.

Is it against board rules to tell another member that their daughter looks like a stripper?

No, I said the police may have thought the dance team members were strippers, as many dance comp kids dress and dance like that. I don't believe it is any different than other members referring to my grand daughter has looking like a whore and wearing whore makeup in pageants.
