Pageant mom murders daughter with repeated gunshots to the back
Police: Sherwood deaths likely murder-suicide
Reported by: Brent Solomon
Sherwood police are calling the suspicious deaths in Sherwood a murder-suicide. A woman and her child were found with gunshot wounds in their home Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators found the body of Shingo Eyman, 35, and a 6-year-old Lillian Abigail Eyman in their home on Wild Mountain Road.
Police tell us it appears that Eyman shot her daughter and then herself.
Investigators say a man called 911 when he arrived at the home and found the two female bodies inside around 12:40 Wednesday afternoon.
Neighbors say a woman and a little girl just moved there within the year.
"We've lived in Sherwood for ten years. We've not had any problems. It's kind of sad, it's really kind of sad," neighbor Debbie Wirges said.
Police are not confirming who found them. The bodies have been taken to the state crime lab.
New details in Sherwood murder-suicide
Investigators now say the death of a mother and daughter in Sherwood is a case of murder-suicide. Police say the mother, Shingo Eyman, shot her daughter Abby and then turned the gun on herself.
"There wasn't any forced entry. No sign of a struggle. We're investigating it as a homicide-suicide,” Lt. Mike Payne with the Sherwood police tells us.
Six-year-old Abby Eyman, a beauty queen and her mother 35-year-old Shingo Eyman were found shot to death Wednesday afternoon in their Sherwood home.
Pulaski County Coroner, Garland Camper says Abby was shot mostly in the back. "The daughter sustained several gunshot wounds and then she (the mother) turned the gun on her self."
Police tell me the mother's boyfriend found the bodies when he came to the house for lunch, they were found in the master bedroom in the bed.
"It’s sickening in a neighborhood like this. Don't ever dream of anything like this happening, this happens in California. It's a real shame," neighbor Cindy Glover said.
Why Shingo Eyman might do this is unknown right now. "You never know what a person is thinking...we just don't know that,” Lt. Payne said. "Anytime you have to investigate a situation like this, involving a child it's very heartbreaking."

Yes, I forgot thr correct name for it..but they retouch them and make them look like dolls.
That's very sad and horrifying that that baby had to die and die at the hands of a murderer..her own mother.
Her mom is rotting in hell.

OMG. I think I've seen that photo before and felt repulsed by how re-touched/doll-like it looked. What a fucking tragedy.

"1. Family and friends NEVER believe it was suicide. We ignore all the signals because it doesn't make sense to us. 2. The fact that she took the child with her proves that she was a loving, responsible mother who knew her child was safe in the arms of Jesus. Responsible, loving mothers don't leave their kids for others to raise and/or abuse or teach who knows what kind of heresy. 3. No, it doesn't seem raional, but rational people don't decide to check out while presenting a "life of the party" image to their friends."

So much for that 'Thou shalt not kill' commandment. To be fair, it is the peskiest of the 10 commandments
Is it wrong that I'm secretly hoping the manatees will come back? I just want cheap entertainment.

wtf is with that comment...how fucking deluded can you get? There is never an excuse for killing an innocent. Poor little girl, so much potential snuffed out by her mother.

I think I've heard that Sherwood is pageant-friendly, in the sense that there are some coaches, photographers & hair/makeup people there. These women will drive hours & hours to get to these coaches. I can't help but wonder if they moved there because of the proximity. I mean, if they were really seriously into pageants...
