In the 90's I managed to find myself in Arkansas near Missouri in a car with NY plates after making the wrong turn somewhere into a neighborhood of black tarp covered shacks and found myself being chased by two guys in a little white pick up with a shotgun hanging out the passenger side window.

I drove like hell until I either lost them or the stopped following me I really don't know which.

Needless to say it just makes me laugh harder when a Southerner turns their nose up at a New Yorker.
