I might sound naive but could there possibly be a spot nearby where they do sea burials?

But don't you have to cremated before you can have a burial like that ?

And don't you think more would wash up than just a severed foot each time? Obviously someone with a foot fetish is on the loose. Over to Grimm.

No, according to wiki bodies are dropped in a biodegradable bag in waters upto 600ft deep but it depends on location.

Daily mail is reporting that one or two of the feet have come from confirmed suicide victims, so that's a bit odd...

Did they chop off their foot before offing themselves? I ask because 'severed foot' sounds like it was done intentionally. I mean, how often does a foot come off during a suicide? I'm sure google has stats on this but I can't be arsed to look it up.

I hope the video appears on youtube soon. The video can be seen on this link:

Science of Forensics: Mystery of the Floating Feet - The Passionate Eye | CBC News Network

but the video only streams to people living in Canada.

Did anybody watch it?? What was the conclusion?

It reminds me of the cult where all the people had wear all black and nike shoes. Could it be some kind of mass suicide cult?

Just another article about this. Kind of gives a history of when all the feet were found and then talks about the rarity of such a thing happening:
