I never heard of "trash the dress". This is very sad. Damn, being trapped in her dress and sunk to the bottom. Scary.

It's just so very wrong...trashing the dress, it's so symbolic, to make a mockery of the institution that once trapped women and bound them for all time, to be weighed down by so much wet fabric and drown, oh the horrific irony... more ironic than trashing their dress that most likely cost too much... I just can't

If you want to spend thousands on a dress, destroy it AND get killed in the process then go ahead and take a well earned Darwin Award.

"Many Rivers to Cross" - jimmy cliff.

Sidenote - Everybody recorded that song!

I've seen only one person's trash the dress photos of someone who knew someone. They were on a beach. Wet, soggy sand splattered all over that pretty dress.

There are so many charities that you can donate your wedding dress to - Brides Against Cancer, to benefit Haiti, whatever. They sell 8,000 dollar Vera Wang dresses for $400.

I actually know a few girls who bought a second cheaper dress just to trash it. I will never understand the practice of buying expensive wedding gowns that you wear one day, but buying a separate dress just to trash boggles my mind.

Btw, I love you evil bitches for all those great songs!

New show idea - "Trapped in the Dress". Ways new brides desperately attempt to shed their wedding dresses during a created disaster - fire, water, being dropped out of a small plane and using it as a parachute - while their new husbands watch helplessly. A&E, Tuesdays at 9pm. Let's do it!

No, that's actually freaky enough to air on TLC.
