Yeah. There's towns in eastern OK that are repeatedly hit, too, some of which got it again tonight... just not nearly to the extent that Moore did.

They were saying about 2 dozen. Devastating. The reporters on scene are having a difficult time getting it out without breaking.

I don't see any reports on fatalities at the school. Does someone have a link?

my friends Ray, his brother Jerry and sister Joyce all live in Moore (they moved there from here in San diego). I tried to text Ray and got no answer, FB'd them and still nothing.
Even though the news said don't call, i called. Ray answered and said their house was fine, that no one was injured. However, Jerry's house was leveled but they got out alright.
I'm just glad they are all okay

oh and the cell service was horrible, but i'm glad i got through

Im watching CNN/Fox (sorry, that's all we have) and the reporting is either way out of date "some deaths feared" as opposed to 2 dozen kids. WTF? Sorry America but your "news" reports SUCK. No wonder people don't know what the hell is going on.

Maybe not appropriate to ask now but shouldn't schools in that region at least have a storm shelter? These tornados aren't exactly unusual and warnings are put out if there's one on the radar.

I just said, here in Australia on the other side of the world we only get CNN or Fox so that's what we have to rely on. The pics tell more of the story than the commentary.

Storm shelters won't do any good in an F4-5. The only place safe is underground, and then you still could be trapped under rubble until they dig you out, which means you could be dead before they get to you.

I have a lot of family in and around Tulsa, which thankfully didn't get hit. There's nothing I can do but pray for peace for Oklahomans and donate as much as I can.
