I love this story and I've really enjoyed seeing him get his 15 minutes. He's more than earned it. You can tell the guy is genuinely compassionate. He's been hugging everyone he's come into contact with. We need more people like him. He's a true hero.
You're right about the hugging thing. He hugs EVERYONE. To the point where it appears the other person is getting uncomfortable...kinda funny.
I like this guy. Hope he doesn't fuck up somehow in the future....like we find out he's running a meth lab or something. He seemed like a decent dude.
^ awesome! Yeah I keep shoving it in the face of the guy I work with who let someone die on the tracks that this NYC Hero is getting all kinds of gifts for his heroism and he gets all mad/ashamed/annoyed/depressed.

Not surprised Ellen did this. Definitely food for thought for for your co-worker, huh? I wonder what I would have done. Split-second decisions are really crazy.
^ yeah but i keep giving him shit b/c he said that apparantly he had several minutes to do something and didnt but he doesnt even care, but the NYC Hero had only a few seconds. I dont know what i would have done either. its pretty scary thought.
