I was at a beach bar, late at night with my friends,a young boy roaming around bothering adults fixed his attention to me.
Maybe my then VERY bright red hair appealed to him.
He kept running around, throwing sand ,twiggs and stuff.Mommy was having fun a few tables away, smoking and laughing. So,i go to her, tell her her brat was acting up and she was to do something about it,she just smiled and said, weeeeeeeeell you know how kids are.......
He kept on,i went to Mommy again she said what can she do?tie him by the foot on a tree?
Meanwhile, one of my earings became undone and a friend of mine tried to close the loop.Little shit comes running, crushes into my chair and my ear lobe tears in half.
Automatically i slapped him with the back of my hand and down he goes on his ass, bawling loudly.
I got up and drove away to fix my bleeding earlobe.I still dont know HOW the hell i did it.

^^I was thinking that as well. I've had to take sick heathens out just to get their medicine and yup, they're screaming nightmares sometimes.

I guess it depends if its a quick in-&-out to get essential supplies & medicine or a trawl around a shopping centre trying on clothes, etc. Obviously the first is "allowed", where are the 2nd is just stupid (as I'm sure you'll agree)....

Nope. They are slowly browsing through every aisle! In & out makes sense-not dragging the kid through the entire store. It's easy to spot the difference. I just don't think some mothers give a damn about the child. Same with dragging them out during naptime.

Surely this is why children have two parents, one to do the grocery shopping, and one to keep the child at home out of my way so it doesn't irritate the shit out of me by squealing. The pic of the guy is hilarious, I totally feel for him, although he shouldn't have slapped someone else's brat.

It was at McDonalds actually.....kid was playing in the 'playland' area, infecting the whole area with her continuous hacking and snot. I was too embarrassed to admit I took my kid to McDonalds so I said 'store', but in reality it was a horrifying fast food joint. *embarrassed*
I can see absolutely having to haul a sick kid out--to the doctor and then on to the Pharmacy or store to get something for them. But you get in, you get out.

how about not bringing your temper tantrum kid into department stores with you if you have someone available to watch the kid for you whilst you shop.
