The weird rumor I heard about Disney is that if somebody dies at Disney World that the Orlando Police and Rescue departments won't officially declare them dead until they are off Disney property.

^I read a book by Carl Hiaasen about the evils of Disney. I believe that's true.

There was a decapitation at Six Flags in Atlanta a few years ago - some kid lost a hat and snuck into a restricted area to get it. Someone's foot dangling from a roller coaster clocked him and killed him instantly. Dumb thing to do, but you'd think there'd be enough clearance for a person to walk underneath the track. I swear some of these places make things even more dangerous than fast moving machinery inherently is.

Jesus charmed, do you have any stories like those in that link? That place sounds like a nightmare.

I just saw a picture of that ride, holy crap there is not enough money in the world to even make me walk towards it. Such a sad story

There was a park in NJ with a similar reputation, Action Park.
Due to all the shit that went wrong on those rides, it was more commonly known as Traction Park or Class-Action Park.

My oldest brother and his friends were hurt on the Alpine Slide, nothing too serious just cuts and bruises. They didn't break fast enough and went through the barriers and into the rocks. The day they went, another kid broke his arm on the same ride, that place was scary. 5 or 6 people died at Action Park and they were only fined a couple of times, I don't know how they get away with it! Where are the inspections for these big parks?

I read that! I'll believe it too. It cemented my hate-on for Disney.

Fortunately outside of some minor bruises I survived without any real injury. My older cousin broke his ankle on the Alpine Slide.
