She is stuck. Even if she regretted her decision,she would be cutting off ties to her kids. Sad-my sympathies.

She doesnt feel stuck, she is really happy, happy as SHE knows it. There is alot of control in the church. We have dropped it as an issue between the family. It still amazes me tho.

I hate that whenever a group wants an image upgrade to show that they are hip/cool/not uptight they automatically utilize womens' sexuality to make their point. half naked women seem to be the first choice for getting people to notice how 'sexy' you are. Everything has got to be 'sexy' nowadays.

That said, I love Vargas and his pin-ups, and these kind of photos are acutally much sexier, imo, than all the cheesy Maxim style crap we usually get. In fact, I think women's sensuality as well as sexuality is portrayed in a much more appealing and respectful way in pictures like this. This is a great calendar. I'd like to see more respect for the more alluring, tasteful displays of sexuality that aren't just raw and vulgar.

Cupcake, I'm a little confused..... your family isn't LDS? The BIL is and she 'signed on' and had 8 or so kids?

Do you ever watch Big Love? One of my favorites and very close to the bone....

We arent LDS, she left home at 18 and joined the Morman church. Her and her husband have 8 kids. She isnt uptight though. She dresses normal, she shows more skin than I do actually, and she has a great sense of humor. She majored in Theology, I think she mainly stayed for the family. They are super close knit and I think in her mind she would be destroying her family. She doesnt agree with everything LDS, they have had some problems and left to another church.

Ive never heard of Big Love.

8 kids, wow. I hear there is loads of pressure to send the boys on mission trips. Like parents start college and mission funds for their boys.

Cupcake - has she read "One Nation Under Gods" by Abanes?? The history of the LDS church is uncovered or should I say blow apart. Many members of the LDS church have left the church from reading that book alone. It is so obvious Joseph Smith was a conman and the lies and coverups are mind boggling. I couldn't put it down.

I wonder if she knows about the calender...Yes all of her boys served their 2 years of mission work. They all served in the US. Very strict rules for that. Up at 4am, 2 hours prayer then chores, hit the streeet till dark. No media outlets. No phonecalls except holidays and Mothers Day. I dont know if she has read "One Nation Under God" I might want to read it. Hey we have tried everything to get her to see her way out but it hasnt happened. They dont usually budge especially after that many years but if some are leaving then that is encouraging! Thanks for posting that
