But I agree with above, hopefully his demons won't come back.

Yep...I wish him the best but he didn't get where he is overnight. I believe he said he'd been sober several months, but was still trolling for dollars on the streets when he was "discovered."

Once the novelty and attention wear off, his issues will still be there. He will need a good support system, that's for sure.

he was sober for two years according to CNN. He was homeless for a while, thats probably why he was on the street trying to get a job at what he does best. I know someone who was homeless, and they worked hard to get their life back, and it wasn't easy.

I wish him well but you don't end up on the streets overnight. The guy has baggage and I don't think a couple of voiceovers is going to turn his life around unless he deals with the baggage, aka meth, first.

He was on The Today Show with his mom today. His Mom is a bit cruel. Her first words to him, after not seeing him for 10 years, were "don't disappoint me again." Then on the show all she kept talking about was how he had shamed the family by holding up a sign asking for donations. She kept going on and on so he finally interrupted and said "she was more bothered by my sign then my arrests."

The positive is that he did say he feels this is all too much at once. He appreciates all the offers but he wants to choose just one and stick with it. He wants to gave a counsellor to help him through the adjustment too. Sounds like he is staying level headed. Hope that continues.

I see this imploding in public opinion in 3-2-1. Way too much too fast. Why didn't his mom and ex wife keep quiet. I'm all for striking while the iron is hot, but this guy has got to be a nervous wreck right about now. He's got a troubled past, seems very irresponsible of the media to start hounding him like this for a story from all different angles.
