Actually, the chimp's owner said if she had to do it all over again including what happened, she'd still raise and keep the chimp as a pet.

Honestly, wouldn't it depend on the type of snake, unless you just have a general phobia? Most snakes are totally harmless and not venomous, and they certainly don't have free range in the home (not by the majority of owners anyway, especially if there are other animals there that could kill them).

WTF? How messed up is that? Any type of monkey or ape is a wild and unpredictable animal, not a pet.

He has 11 or 12, one of which is a 12 foot reticulated python that ate his dog. Enough said.

The friend was also her boss. She had given the woman a place to live and a job when she was down and out. I guess she felt she couldn't say no.

When someone up thread questioned whether they would want to be alive or not, I was thinking 'Of course you'd want to live' then I watched the interview and I don't know if I'd want to live like that. My god this poor woman. She has no hands, no nose, her eyes were removed. The holes where her eyes were are red and weepy. She has a little gap for a mouth and can only drink liquids. She is truly monstrous looking. Someone will have to take care of her all of her life. I feel so sorry for her seventeen year old daughter. She's lost her mother. Her attitude is amazing. But maybe it helps that she'll never know what she actually looks like.

Oh loved the gratuitous cheek wipe Oprah did to her face. You know she was recoiling inside and did it for show.

Another thing that freaked me out: The chimp bit her so hard that a tooth of his was embedded in her jaw bone. She's lucky that she doesn't remember anything about the attack.

Oprah has forgotten how to interview real people. She's too busy kissing celebs asses. Although, I thought she was mean to Mackenzie Phillips.

ETA: The CTV network that i watched on showed the commercial to that Robin Williams and John Travolta movie. It showed the scene where they guys get into the monkey shelter and seth green is singing while the ape is holding him. Kinda f'ed up considering the subject matter on Oprah.
