The boy's name is Falcon.

I wouldn't put it past them, the father especially was a freak.

I'm slightly suspicious of some sort of publicity thing as well, at least i hope so. That's better than the alternative.

Nah, Xenu is upset with it's chosen deity and plucked another.

Hope the kid turns up, he's probably hiding cuz he thinks he'll be in trouble for letting it go.

Did the kid make the balloon? Jesus...pretty freaking good if he did. I mean, my kid barely colors in the lines for christs sake.
His Dad made it I am guessing....

Hope he's ok. Wow, crazy stuff.

A neighbor is saying that two of the boys were on the roof with a camera talking about their brother having left. Where was he mom while these kids are on the roof?

Seriously? At what age do you think its okay to take your eyes off your kids for a few minutes? I'm assuming at least one of the brothers was older, i would have no problem letting them outside to play and watch each other, as long as they stayed within a specified area.

It drives me nuts that so many peoples' first reaction is 'where were the parents'. Last i checked, kids needed some time to grow up without being hovered over 24/7.

Oh how sad! I hope he's just hiding somewhere and that he didn't fall out.
Scary thought!

Oh I can take my eyes off my kids, but I sure as hell would know if they were up on the roof, with a video camera, launching their six year old brother in a helium balloon. Just call me over-protective.

Really you wouldn't notice if your kids were on the roof?

After initial reports that Falcon Heene was trapped inside a homemade aircraft flying near Fort Collins, Colorado, TMZ reports that the 6-year-old is now missing. Falcon and his family appear in the 100th episode of Wife Swap.

The Heene family was constructing an experimental 20-foot helium balloon attached to their home earlier today, and it was initially believed that young Falcon boarded the "flying saucer," which is capable of ascending to about 10,000 feet.

After accidentally taking off for a two-hour flight, the aircraft landed about 40 miles from where it took off. The six-year old, police told TMZ, is now missing.

The Heene family (which includes two other young boys) is described as "storm-chasing" and "science-obsessed" and has constructed earlier "experimental aircrafts."
Wife Swap's website notes, "When the Heene family aren't chasing storms, they devote their time to scientific experiments that include looking for extraterrestrials and building a research-gathering flying saucer to send into the eye of the storm."
