Doesn't he know that if he starts to shave young, he'll be in full porn stache glory sooner????

My HS had a length of hair rule for boys - we had one teacher who would run around with a ruler and measure the hair to the collar...doncha know as soon as the rule was lifted, that teacher was the first to grow his hair out.

It's a rule, it's presumably in the student handbook, I guess the only quibble would be whether the amount of fuzz qualifies as a stache in violation of the rule. What about furry girls? Do they get the same treatment?

Wow, I'd have been sent home in the 6th grade, lol. Kids are hitting puberty so much sooner these days but it's an old wives' tale that shaving makes the hair grow any thicker or faster. If part of the school code is no facial hair then it's time to shave it.

If it's a public school, he should be allowed to grow whatever his face grows naturally. As another poster pointed out, what if it was a female student with a hairy lip? Would they force her to shave or ban her from school?

The dress code needs to apply to DRESS, not to someone's natural physical characteristics. He was born to exhibit these characteristics, he shouldn't be barred from education any more than someone who was born with skin or hair color that doesn't fit into the uniformity.
