A Victor Valley College student walking to a campus bus stop was abducted Monday afternoon and raped, authorities said.
She was walking alone on the Victorville campus about 12:30 p.m. when a car pulled up with two people inside. They forced her into the vehicle, said Karen Hunt, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
"They drove around campus and went behind some buildings. The passenger . . . raped her, then they threw her out of the vehicle and drove off," Hunt said Tuesday.
The student then walked to a convenience store off campus, where she reported the incident to the retailer, who called campus police, officials said.
She was taken to the sheriff's Victorville station for questioning. Investigators have not yet released a description of the abductors.
College administrators immediately notified students and faculty of the incident via e-mail, said Bill Greulich, a college spokesman.
Notices posted throughout the campus advise students to walk in groups and be aware of their surroundings, he said. Campus police have also begun more frequent patrols.
"I've been with the college for almost 20 years, and this is the first time we've had an incident such as this," Greulich said. "How can you be that emboldened to do something like that in the middle of the day and with that many students around?"
Victor Valley College serves about 17,000 students.
"I feel terribly hurt that something like this would happen on our campus and that one of our students was attacked," college President Robert Silverman said. "

They probably did, this area is backwards as hell. They have not caught anyone, after nearly a month...in broad daylight...wtf?
Let's hope someone offered her the Plan B pill. Poor girl. So help me God, I will blow the fucking head off of anyone who ever tries to grab me or threatens me with harm like that.
OMG! That's terrifying. How will that poor girl ever feel safe again, if that can happen in broad daylight in the middle of the afternoon?![]()
