Police: Mom Tortured 13-Year-Old Son - Yahoo! News
A mother was charged with child endangering on Thursday after she was accused of torturing her 13-year-old son.
Police said that the child approached an officer and said he was abused by his mother on Wednesday night.
The child, whose name was not released, was evaluated at a hospital and interviewed by a social worker, NewsChannel5 partner ONN reported. Police later obtained a search warrant at the family's Hughey Drive home.
Atrienne Shirelle Tidmore was arrested at the home. According to a complaint filed, Tidmore, 33, allegedly bound the boy's hands behind his back, depriving him of air by repeatedly dunking him in a bathtub full of water, and threatened to electrocute him by holding a curling iron over the tub.
"From what (the child) said, we had probable cause to file the charge," said Reynoldsburg police Detective Bill Early.
Tidmore was also accused of punching her son and breaking one of his teeth, police said.
A neighbor who requested anonymity said that she saw the boy with his mother on Wednesday night.
"He had a welt across his face like a belt whip across the right side of his face," the neighbor said.
The neighbor said something disturbing happened after Tidmore and her son left.
"He walked away. She turned around and socked him -- punched him, and they kept walking. And by the time she got home, my son said he came outside, and she picked him up and slammed him on the ground," the neighbor said.
The boy was placed in the care of Franklin County Children Services.

This reminds me of a documentary I saw a few weeks ago. Some kid went to jail for killing his mother, at 13 or 14, because she used to beat the hell out of him and his older sister. The sister was filming the documentary and she was talking to the brother, now in his 20's and in jail, and their father about what made him finally snap and the events that led up to it. So, yeah, that mother is lucky that kid didn't turn on her and beat her ass.
As nice as the kid finally beating the shit out of that evil bitchmonster would be, I'm glad it didn't get to that point-he shouldn't have to go to jail just because she made me snap.
At his age, it's not done. She's damaged him terribly by now. I have a distant relative who was abused like this by his mother, finally the dad got the kids. The son is now in prison for killing his GIRLFRIEND'S mother.
I also cannot fathom how a parent can hurt their child like this, especially the mother.

I think in this day and age people stay out of it. I dont think its right to sit back and watch something that horrible go on, but people really dont want to get involved anymore.
A friend of mine called CPS on her neighbor, then HAD to move shortly thereafter. Her neighbor was a crackwhore who's customers were gangbangers. After she called, and the kid was taken away, the shit hit the fan. They recieved death threats, had car windows smashed in, their house spray painted. They had 3 kids of their own, and were majorly freaked out, so they moved ASAP.
^^^ Wow, yeah, it's something to consider isn't it? The hell your OWN kids might be put through by trying to help someone else's. A difficult situation to be in.
As for this poor kid I hope he can get over this some day.
It's amazing (or maybe not) how many serial killers were treated like this by their own families.
