This actually happened about a week ago but it brought tears to my eyes cuz yesterday my hubby was telling me how the husband is so lost without the wife, he told her that he'd take her on a honeymoon as she laid dying in bet etc and I kind of see myself in her cuz we have a lot in common...
Anyways, here's the story.
Hit-and-run puts end to love story

A love story that began a decade ago in Vancouver was brutally ended by a hit-and-run driver on a wind-swept Richmond street.
Weeping husband Jay "Jaejun" Han told reporters yesterday that his Japanese-born wife was "the only one I could be with."
The pair met 10 years ago while studying English in Vancouver. At the end of their short ESL course, both Han and his wife-to-be, Aki Tajima, returned to their respective homes: Han to Korea; Tajima to Japan.
But the pair continued their relationship and six years ago decided to return permanently to B.C., where they felt it was the best and safest place for a mixed-Asian couple. Han and Tajima settled in Richmond and in their two-year-long marriage had never gone on a honeymoon.
Last week, Han suggested to his wife that they finally take their long-awaited trip and he can vividly remember how her eyes widened with excitement at the suggestion.
"Her eyes were shining when she heard that," recalled Han, 33.
But instead of a honeymoon, Han found himself Wednesday by his wife's bedside, watching her die.
"I was holding her hand when she was on the bed yesterday," said Han, breaking into tears. "Probably she was not with me any more, but she still hold my hand. I thought she was sleeping. She was the best."
Tajima, 36, was crossing No. 3 Road at Anderson in Richmond at a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a northbound vehicle. She was walking from east to west, directly toward city hall at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday when she was struck.
Her husband and police pleaded yesterday for anyone with any information on the driver to contact them.
Han said his wife, a quality assurance technician for a Yaletown software company, was on her way to catch a bus to work when the accident occurred. Han said his wife wouldn't have stepped on to the road without pushing the crosswalk button.
Police couldn't confirm yesterday if the blinking overhead lights at the crosswalk were functioning at the time of the accident.
RCMP Cpl. Peter Thiessen said the car would have had significant damage to its front end and is asking people to call if they see a suspicious dark-coloured imported vehicle.
Police also plan to seize surveillance tapes along the northbound No. 3 Road route.
The couple have no family in B.C. and Han, who runs a small business, conceded he doesn't know if he will stay. "Me and my wife decided to stay in Canada because it was the best choice for a Korean-Japanese couple. I met her in Canada and it's a nice country, nice place. But I don't know now. I don't have any reason to stay," he said.
Tajima's father is critically ill in Japan and cannot leave the hospital to come to B.C. Her mother, who has to stay by her husband's bedside, also can't come. However, Han said Tajima's brother is expected to fly in today from Japan.
Han asked for the driver to turn himself in to give his wife's family some degree of closure.
"If we can find him, it will be good for the justice and the right thing for a human being," said Han.
Supt. Ward Clapham, head of the Richmond RCMP detachment, asked the public for its help in finding the driver.
"My plea is to the community of the Greater Vancouver area and especially the citizens of Richmond. Please help us," said Clapham.
"The police are the public; the public are the police. Somebody in Richmond probably knows of the vehicle and the driver. There had to have been a reason why this vehicle was where it was at [Wednesday] morning. We're asking the citizens of Richmond to be our eyes and ears to help us out."
Anyone with information is asked to call Richmond RCMP at 604-207-4764. Anonymous tips can be left at CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
n Police are still hoping for a break in their probe of a hit-and-run in September that killed a 91-year-old man. Tuong Ngo's body was found on Southeast Marine Drive in Vancouver. Investigators believe he may have been struck by a car somewhere else, then left at the scene where his body was hit by a taxi.
