Default Suicide bomber vs. homicide bomber

FauxNews continues to use homicide bomber, although no other major news organization has taken the bait as of yet. What do you think? I'd do a poll but as many of you know, I'm a computard and thus unable to figure how to do that. Anyway, is it an apt description or are they editorializing as usual?

I've actually never heard of the term homicide bomber...
But I think that description disregards the life of the person that sacrifices him/herself. It devalues the bomber's life, it sounds like, and puts more focus on the victims of the "homicide."

If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.

Well, the suicide part is actually guaranteed (unless the bomb malfunctions).
The homicide part is not. So suicide bomber is correct, and the dorks
at Fox have failed to be clever yet again.

No matter how hard they try, they just always get it wrong, eh?

And the suicide bit is the thing that distinguishes it from a normal, common or garden bomb.

    Thumbs down

homicide bomber term is used because the bombers go to malls, bus stops and other areas where the most people are

bombers are out to kill people

homicide is an acceptable term to use those type of bombers

suicide bomber cause harm to themselves only

I think homicide bomber is more correct, because the ultimate intent of the person is to kill other innocent people. If it was about suicide only, they would not pick buses or trains etc. to do it in. Suicide bomber I think, devalues the innocent lives which are lost when the bomber detonates themselves.

Suicide bomber is misleading, and it tries to sway sympathy to the bomber, sympathy belongs with the victims of the homicide that the bomber perpetrates.

I doubt anyone has any sympathy with the person who kills themselves at all. I think the phrase "homocide bomber" can be misleading & confusing. If I heard that, I would think, "Did the bomber die or not?" Suicide bomber is a great way to describe exactly what happened.

Suicide bomber, in my mind, translates into a much more significant amount of crazy and evil than homicide bomber. It sure doesn't evoke any level of sympathy for me.

Also, suicide bomber makes me think of the larger context of the bombings. It smacks of a larger institution or a larger idea that is generating the violence.

Come on, people, a BOMBER is a person who BOMBS. The entire point of a BOMB is to KILL PEOPLE.

The use of the word "homocide" is REDUNDANT.

The use of the word "suicide" describes someone who killed themselves in the process of BOMBING OTHER PEOPLE.
