Officials: Human Waste Found Outside Albuquerque Home
ALBUQUERQUE -- City officials condemned an Albuquerque home on Wisconsin Avenue Wednesday after human feces was found in the front yard, reported Action 7 News.
The city said it warned property owner Jay Werkmesiter to clean up or clear off his property. But more than a year later, the city and neighbors said the situation has only gotten worse.
According to city officials, human feces was buried beneath the doors and windows of the home.
"The outside apparently was being used as a commode," said one official.
Inspectors said the home had no water, no electricity and no plumbing.
"On a good rainy day you can smell it real bad," said neighbor Andy Gonzales.
But more than a nasal nightmare, city officials said it's a serious health hazard.
"Common sense dictates that you can't have human waste lying around on the exterior without causing a biological hazard," said one official.
The city has spent three days and $5,000 cleaning up the property in order to condemn it.
Two PNM utility employees and a city inspector complained that their hands and face were burning after surveying the property.
The city is now looking into what kind of chemicals in the house could have caused that reaction.

I am from the American CIA and I have a radio in my head. I am going to kill you.
How gross. They shouldn't have stepped foot on the property without an oxygen tank and a hazard suit.
