Truck Crashes Into Crowd Celebrating Bastille Day

A truck drove into a crowd celebrating Bastille Day in Nice, France, according to media reports, causing injuries and possibly deaths.
Reuters quotes the regional newspaper as saying the truck rammed into a crowd on the city's Promenade des Anglais, where a large crowd was celebrating the national holiday, and, according to French television channel BFM TV, the local government there was asking people to stay home in the wake of the incident.
The former mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, posted a tweet saying the truck appeared to have killed dozens of people.
The Associated Press quotes an eyewitness as saying there were, "bodies everywhere" after the crash.
