So far the Aussie media mostly sticks to "British" English but the influence from The Other Lot is creeping in with certain spellings and pronunciation, etc. We are all doomed.

I don't think they should have sterilized her.
In some religions it's still very 'old world' thought that the only gift women have is to give as many children as possible, though not very likely that still is a possibility left out by the article (which could either make her out to be a total whore or something completely different.)

I think the sheer number of pups she has is pretty clear to show it was no accident. But! It could still be religious. My boyfriend's grandmother was religious in that way and squeezed out 14 kids.

I'm willing ot bet that there must be some sort of questionable documentation to leave it in a 'grey' area otherwise normally this wouldn't even be open for discussion and no reason for news article, or perhaps would have been mentioned to make her look like a fool.

But she signed the forms to say she wanted to be sterilized! Are the docs supposed to be psychic and guess she was going to change her mind? I know it's a difficult concept to grasp these days but sometimes you make a decision and then regret it afterwards. Shit happens. Not everything is someone else's fault.

At first glance I thought this said that "6 doctors sterilised her against her consent" I thought she must be a tough broad to take that many to hold her down and fix her.

She signed the contract sober, she was asked she had no objection - where's the case? Oh yeah I know where... she didn't understand what bilateral tubal ligation is.

I wonder if her child support and benefit had stopped coming in (and it soon happens in the western worlds because the benfit tap is already sucked dry in most of the countries) she would have invested in some method for preventing breeding at this speed.

I really think the doctors made her a favour, two of my guineapigs died as a result of being preggos constantly. It was awful to see how they withered away. So I only kept bachelor guineapig after that.

Even religions give allowances to women who's continued breading puts their (and their unborn child's lives) at risk.
And we're not living in the 1500s anymore, a woman's worth is NOT measured by how many kids she can spawn!
