Former Christian school teacher accused of having sex with student for over a year while her father, her uncle and former principal all covered it up

A former teacher in Colorado Springs is facing up to ten years in jail after being charged with having sex with one of her teenage students–with the illegal affair covered up by her father.
Terah Allyn Rawlings, 32, is alleged to have first seduced the teen half her age as they sat in her car.
They continued to have sex for over a year and the relationship was common knowledge among staff at the Hilltop Baptist Church.

Rawlings's father, Raymond 'Allen' Knight, her uncle Franklin 'Wayne' Knight and the school's former principal Jan Ocvirk, all knew about the affair.
But all three failed to report the abuse and according to court documents deliberately told witnesses not to go the police.

The affair between Rawlings and the teen, which began in 2007, was finally exposed in 2010 by a teacher who informed authorities leading to a police investigation.
A Grand Jury recommended that Rawlings face multiple charges from her year-long affair.

She is alleged to have first had sex with the teen as they sat in a car outside an apartment complex.
They also slept together at her father's home and in a van used by the school.
Her father, an associate pastor at the school, her uncle and school principal Ocvirk, were all aware of the affair by other students and teachers.
According court documents the trio were each told similar accounts by people who witnessed Rawlings and the student making out in a van during a school trip.

They were also told that a witness saw them go into a bedroom with the student and heard noises that sounded like people having sex.
Ocvirk brought these allegations to Wayne Knight, the court documents say, but never reported them to the Department of Social Services or police.
She allegedly told the witnesses not to bring the allegations to law enforcement.

According to the affidavits, Wayne Knight, the senior pastor at Hilltop Baptist Church and a former superintendent of the school, displayed a consistent pattern to manipulate and control the situation--not only among the faculty at Hilltop Baptist School--but also among parent, church members and students.'
He allegedly told church members, 'if you persist with this, your relationship with the church will be damaged.'
The pastor also allegedly lied about having conducted a lie detector test.
Knight, who is no longer teaching, was charged with four counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust; four counts alleging a pattern of the same crime; and one count of promoting obscenity.

Wayne Knight, 63, faces misdemeanor charges of failure to report child abuse or neglect and accessory to a crime, a felony. He posted a $2,000 bond.
Raymond Knight,57, faces charges of failure to report child abuse or neglect. He has posted a $300 bond.
Ocvirk, 51, is charged with two counts of failure to report child abuse or neglect. She posted a $300 bond.
The Hilltop Baptist School, which has over 100 students, closed last May.
