Jailed graffiti artist tags cell.

MILWAUKEE - A man who faces sentencing on graffiti violations now faces another accusation — that he tagged his jail cells, too.

Troy Lee Mosby placed his signature "Syrup" tag on the walls, beds, tables, locker and mirrors of six cellblocks at the Milwaukee County House of Correction, according to a criminal complaint filed Thursday.

Mosby, 20, of Wauwatosa, was scheduled for sentencing Friday on 14 misdemeanor graffiti counts. Instead, Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Paul Van Grunsven adjourned the matter to April 21 so Mosby has time to answer the new accusation.

"Given the nature (of the new case) I don't think there will be a lot of investigation needed," he said.

Assistant District Attorney Nancy Ettenheim charged Mosby with habitual criminality, a felony. Mosby pleaded not guilty to that charge Friday. He faces up to two years in prison if convicted.

On the other charges, Ettenheim had recommended jail time, restitution and probation.

I know I'm going to be very much in the minority here but this just makes me laugh and laugh. And I really like alot of graffiti.

I like a lot of it, too. I would rather look at some interesting well done graffiti on a wall than a blank boring wall. Some graffiti is very well done.
