FAIRFIELD (CBS 5) — A Solano County high school teacher is in jail Tuesday night, accused of having sex with a male student.
27-year-old Felecia Killings, an English teacher at Rodriguez High School in Fairfield was taken into custody on charges of statutory rape.
According to police, the male student was 16-years-old at the time of the alleged incident. He is now 17. Police are investigating the possibility she had sex with other students as well.
Vallejo police are investigating because the sexual activities are alleged to have taken place at Killings’ home in Vallejo.
Killings had been a teacher at Rodriguez High for five years.
Fairfield-Suisun School District Superintendent Jacki Cottingim-Dias told CBS 5 Killings was arrested on school property Tuesday evening. Cottingim-Dias said the school district became aware of the issue and notified police.
“We want to assure our parents in our community that we are cooperating with police,” Cottingim-Dias said.
Killings has been placed on leave while the investigation continues, Cottingim-Dias said.
