Toronto Prostitution Arrests - Men & Their Kids
Okay, I understand being horny and wanting some action but what type of low life fuck nut drags their small kids and babies with them when they try to get laid? Is KFed anywhere near Toronto now?

Police arrest 139 over prostitution
Mar. 10, 2006. 09:54 AM
CURTIS RUSH
STAFF REPORTER THESTAR.COM
Police have made 139 arrests and laid 175 criminal charges in the latest sweep of men seeking prostitutes in the Parkdale area.
As part of Project Sweep, female undercover officers posing as prostitutes are placed as bait in areas frequented by men looking for sex.
Community concerns have been raised about fights between prostitutes and fights between prostitutes and drug dealers.
In what police say is a disturbing trend, some of the men who approached undercover police officers were accompanied by children.
One night, just before midnight, a man with an infant child approached an undercover officer who was posing as a prostitute.
"The officer tried to avoid the man because of the very young child, but the man was not deterred and told his child to wait in a bus shelter," police said in a release.
"The man persisted and was arrested."
Further, it is alleged that the agreed-upon sex act was to occur in the man's home. The officer was also told not to worry about the man's child in the bus shelter.
In two previous operations, men with babies in car seats have solicited undercover officers, police say.
More than 90 per cent of those arrested are from outside the Parkdale area. One suspect came from Collingwood.
The oldest "john" arrested was 72, the youngest 16.
The majority of those arrested will be appear in court at Old City Hall on May 1.

Good for Toronto! They need to target more often the demand and not the supply if they are going to target anyone. I wish they would do more of this in the US(although ideally they should just legalize it and get it over with)

Re: Toronto Prostitution Arrests - Men & Their Kids
If they legalized prostitution it would be managed, taxed and held to some kind of standards like back in Japan. There, the lady could refuse you, and the mama-san would arrange the price beforehand after doing a background check and whatnot.
Keeping it underground is what makes it seedy.
At any rate, they were policing Parkdale. parkdale is the ghetto black gangbanger part of town where people get shot regularely.. this isn't a surprise.

I think prostitution is technically illegal in Japan BUT massage parlors, hostess bars and "soap lands" and things like that are legal. These are called "Mizu shobai" the water business.

You are right. It will always be around..always has been, always will. Just like with prohibition, keeping it illegal is what makes it even worse. the only way to clean it up even a little is to make it legal and have standards. And it is not the prostitution itself that usually ruins the lives. It is the drug addiction that leads to prostitution(the drug addiction itself would have wrecked their lives anyway) or the forces that have affected these women that cause them to choose this dangerous(as in illegal and unregulated) profession..those forces being abuse, neglect, poverty, etc-all of which would have ruined their lives anyway. I think the prostitution is a symptom for most of those who engage in it anyway, whether it be the women or the damaged men who solicit them.

Hehe but such words are still associated with negative connotation to us. Prostitution in Japanese is "bai shun" = buying spring (spring as in season).

Re: Toronto Prostitution Arrests - Men & Their Kids
Prostitution is legal and strictly regulated in Germany and the many years I lived there were far less crime ridden than the years I've lived here in the USA.
Mushy, come up with some stats on how prostitution creates serial killers please. It's been my understanding from years of reading on abnormal psych and keeping up with psych training to keep my social worker license that serial killers are created at home, by fucknut parents, more than by anything that happens past childhood. Domineering mother, passive father, early childhood abuse combine to create a sociopath and eventually that sociopathic person, if untreated, slips into all sorts of unpleasant and illegal behaviors such as serial killing. I realize this isn't a complete picture of how it happens but it's a thumbnail so I don't bore everyone else here silly.
Legalized prostituion might help balance the budget as well as break some of the grip organized crime holds on this nation.

Re: Toronto Prostitution Arrests - Men & Their Kids
Where it is legal, such as in the Netherlands, it is extremely well-managed without the huge problems faced in countries where it's illegal. As far as Germany, well, they're a little bit nuts on this one. There was this bizarre incident last year where a woman on the dole was told there was a job available as a prostitute. She refused to consider it and they cut off her welfare. I think it ended up going to court and it being written on the books that you couldn't be forced to prostitute yourself, but imagine that one, eh?
I tend to say legalize prostitution since it's never going to go away. It is, after all, the world's oldest profession.

Re: Toronto Prostitution Arrests - Men & Their Kids
I don't think legalization is the silver bullet though.
I'm sure even in countries where it is legalized, there's still a 'black market' of prostitution

Is prostitution legal in the state of Nevada? I kinda remember hearing something like that?
