Default Frosty - the inappropriate snowman - CBS Ad

I think it is pretty funny. You can see the video here: Neil Patrick Harris Is "Frosty The Inappropriate Snowman" (VIDEO)

Dirty 'Frosty the Snowman' video sparks outrage

    MSN Entertainment

We all know Frosty the Snowman was a jolly happy soul, but according to the adult-themed CBS version that has hit the Web, he's also a very dirty one too.

The staff at CBS promotions have turned "Frosty" into "Frosty the Inappropriate Snowman," thanks to a mashup of the beloved cartoon set to sound bites from "How I Met Your Mother" and "Two and a Half Men"

    The reaction? Well, pretty frosty.

"I've been a marketing man a long time, but I've never been as appalled, outraged and saddened as I have over the 'Frosty the Inappropriate Snowman' trailers created by CBS," writes John Tantillo of Fox News.

Herald columnist Lauren Beckham Falcone writes, "Yes, the trailers are funny, in a "South Park"-this-feels-so-wrong way. But it's not going to be amusing when some fourth-grader Googling Frosty gets schooled on everything from porn to prostitutes. That these Web trailers are sanctioned by CBS is incomprehensible."

"I loved Frosty and I loved 'How I Met Your Mother.' I do not like them together at all," one viewer posted on CBS.com. "Frosty is for my child. 'How I Met Your Mother' is not. You just lost a viewer. Disgusting."

CBS has not given any comments on the controversy surrounding the video.

Over-reaction much? Cannot disapprove of anything that remotely involves NPH, ever.

When did it become "uncool" to care about kids in society?

I mean I'm not thinking people should adore them but as the mom of two little ones, the idea that people think that it's funny that a little kid googling for Frosty would stumble on this is sort of sad.

Don't give me that "Won't somebody pleeeeease think of the children!" crap. The entire world cannot and should not be child proofed. If people are worried about their fourth graders Googling inappropriate things, then their child's internet use should be monitored. End of. Don't attempt to foist your prudishness on the rest of the world.

Who the fuck said it was "uncool" to care about kids? Maybe you should do your research Becky. This was posted only on CBS' site. If your kids is not protected on the internet in your home maybe you should learn to use parental controls.

    word.

i thought it was sort of funny but nothing special, but then i've seen one episode of 'how i met your mother' and that was my opinion of the show as well.
still, i don't get why people are getting their panties in a wad over this.

Why would a kid googling "Frosty the Snowman" (has anyone in history EVER done that before) understand any of that? Why would a parent allow a child who could be harmed by this video to google and play videos on the internet without supervision?

If little precious understands "porn stash" and the rest of the references, there are issues way beyond what any remotely competent computer geek could post on you tube.

As a parent, you should be responsible for what your little one looks up. If you're that concerned about it, then don't let them use the internet. simple.

First, Charlie Brown gets pre-empted and now Frosty is turned into Andrew Dice Clay. How will the children ever love Christmas again? This is a non-issue.
