Dead Deer Found Wearing Clown Suit, Wig
SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- Animal control officers in Sioux City said someone dressed a dead deer in a clown suit and wig and put it on a family's porch.
Officers suspect it was a prank, considering Halloween is approaching, but they said it's not funny, safe or acceptable.
The deer was discovered Wednesday morning.
Animal Control Officer Jake Appel said it's immature and it's illegal. He said a dead animal shouldn't be left on someone's porch and should be disposed of properly.
Sioux City police have not opened an investigation.

That is all I know about it. It is a story on our local news this morning, on the tv stations website, and in papers for the day. Just not something you see every day,....to open your front door and have a dead, dressed up deer laying there. Only in Iowa I guess.
Somebody out there in Iowa has a lot of time on their hands...

animal control took pictures. anytime there is something like this, they have to take pictures for the investigation

Well, it was just released on the news this morning, and now it is online and in the daily papers. So no pictures have shown up that I have seen at this point. They may surface.
I just hope someone gets fined or gets some sort of punishment for it. I am assuming it was a roadkill deer,...but maybe not. Someone may have killed it. It is legal bow season in Iowa now.

Like others said above,...the cops and animal control probably did take pictures, they just aren't releasing them. On the news tonight they did have a picture of the house and porch where the deer was left,......but big deal. Who cares what the house looked like?? lol
It was just an odd story and I guess someone's idea of a Halloween prank.

That part really made me laugh. What else could it possibly be, a warning to the other clowns in the area?

That is hideously disrespectful. I have lived around many hunter in my lifetime, and they would have been appalled. You kill to take meat home, or to donate. This is ridiculous and I hope if the people who did this are found out they are ostracized.

I did watch Conan last night and he mentioned the deer in his opening chat.
