KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Metro mom is fuming over an attempted sexual assault. It happened to her son on a school bus. Police and school district officials are investigating. But the victim’s mother wants immediate action.

“(My son) said he was hollering and couldn’t understand why the bus driver didn’t stop anything,” said Lisa Drone.

She is angry with the Kansas City School District. On a district school bus, Drone claims her son, 12, suffered an attack while the driver on-board did nothing to stop it.

“It started from when he left the school and all the way to the time the bus driver dropped him off,” Drone said.

The boy attends Milton Moore Elementary. His mom says the boy’s been getting picked-on.

According to a police report, two suspects, both female, held the boy down in a bus seat. Meanwhile, another girl partially pulled the boy’s pants down then attempted to insert the end of an umbrella into his rectum.

“When he got away, he said he tried to throw the metal object out the window and I guess the kids got it away from him and began to hit and spit on him,” Drone said.

In a statement, Kansas City Public Schools spokesman Andre Riley said the district is looking into the matter.

“We’re nearing the end of our investigation,” Riley said. “Once it’s concluded, we’ll handle the investigation using established protocol. Student discipline is a private matter that occurs through the code of conduct.”

“It’s difficult to say the school bus driver saw it,” said Captain Rich Lockhart of the Kansas City Police Department. “We just don’t know yet. But, we do have to talk to everybody involved.”

Detectives are still investigating. So, the suspects remain at school. The bus driver remains on the job.

“It just doesn’t make any sense,” Drone said. “It didn’t make any sense at all to me.”

My daddy never laid a hand on me either. I remember I got mad one time and told him I would pull all my hair out, and he just said, "I'll help you". That was the worst thing my daddy ever said to me.
