Default Southern California police officer kicks suspect in head

(the suspect was no saint but this is pretty shocking, in this day and age where everything is filmed...)

I saw this earlier. The cop should get fired. But what really pisses me off is that this asshole thug who led them on a long high speed chase while waving gang signs and putting the whole public in danger - and has a long prison record - is probably going to profit from this cop's one asshole move by legal action. That really pisses me off, too. This cop was an absolute moron. But I have zero sympathy for this asshole punk as well.

He was already on the ground, surrendering. There was no reason for him to kick him in the head. There was also no reason for him to lead a high-speed chase. Both were boneheaded moves.

Damn, look at that guy run, though.

Ok, a few things here. Did the dumbass suspect not hear the helicopters overhead, thus making his run for it futile? Did the idiot cop not hear the helicopters overhead, thus making it dumb as fuck to openly kick the surrendered suspect for no real reason? And seriously, that kid should try out for the Olympics. He was laying tracks. (and the cop should be fired...I'm sick of these dickheads amped up on roids).

That cop is on a power trip. He didn't need to kick that guy in the head when it's clearly on tape that the perp was surrendering and was not threatening the cop in any way. I fucking hate cops like this- they give the good ones a bad rep.

There is no reason for this behavior even if that dude was a criminal thug. This kind of crap makes me sick.

while the cop was wrong, i say good for him. that fucking thug put how many people in danger, and will probably be out of jail soon.

So, yes the cop was wrong, i know this. but the better part of me says WAY TO GO!

The punk isn't blameless, but that doesn't mean he should be kicked in the head.

The police officer needs to be held to a higher standard because we as citizens place our trust in the police, pay them, and give them a gun. Firing is the least they should do to the cop. I also think he deserves to face serious criminal charges.

I agree, I hope he faces battery charges. But I'm pissed that because of his lack of judgment this little street punk who thinks it cool to lead police on a high speed chase and flash his gang signs will probably also end up with a good chunk of money. No doubt he'll sue and win, and promote himself as such a victim. Its all so damn unfair. Both of them should rot in a jail cell together, for all I care.

I agree, fuck him. He could have easily ran head on with that truck, or killed any number of people. He needed a good sift kick in the ass years ago.

That being said....he was bookin' it.

i dont believe in car chases, they cause property damage to innocent people and sometimes even death. i think they're stupid and wreckless. regardless, this guy deserved what he got imo, i hate career criminals and the havoc they cause and tax-payer money they waste.

So...I have a serious question for those saying that the guy deserved it: If that was your kid, brother, nephew, whatever, would you be saying the same thing? (And let's put aside the "my kid wouldn't do that cause I'd have taught him better" thing for the sake of argument.)

Don't get me wrong, if this were my son, I'D kick his ass for pulling that bullshit - he wouldn't have to worry about the cops. But I would be pissed that the cop did that. It was totally uncalled for IMO. If he was physically resisting arrest and physically fighting with the cop, then yeah, I could see something like that. But he's just laying there. I'm all for some ass whooping, but that was way extreme IMO.
