Well they aren't really vocal like cats and dogs.
(They can scream, but they only do that when they are in agony, so you don't want to hear that...it's the most horrible sound)
They make subtle sounds like purring when they are horny (which is regularly or grinding their teeth with pleasure when you pet them.
Rabbits have their own way of making you understand what they want. If mine want to be pet, they'll wriggle their head under my hand.
If mine want to play, they push me with their snout, or tugg at my trousers.
You can cuddle them, but most rabbits don't like to be picked up. They prefer being on groundlevel. So what I do is I get on the floor with them. I am often lying flat out on the carpet. They seem to enjoy the attention very much.
If you let them walk free in the house, like I do, you have to make the area rabbitproof though. No wires they can chew!
They will also destroy anything made of wood by chewing on it, which is a problem. They also enjoy tearing off wallpaper.
But on the whole, lovely pets....
