Angry Hello! Stop posting photos of innocent children

Hi! After all the talk about pageants, I felt like I needed to voice my thoughts. My daughter has been in pageants for many years, and we have had many postive experiences. I don't think you all should judge something until you experience it for yourself. Think about how you would feel, if someone was posting photos of your child to be bashed. If you don' t agree with them or like them, that is your opinion, but it is obvious that many people do enjoy them as a hobby!

    1. We didn't put the photos on the web.
    2. I don't need to try hardcore drugs in order to judge whether or not they are any good. Some things are obvious to most people without trying them.
    3. We didn't putting the children up for judgement. Pageants are also judging your kids.
    4. I'm not bashing the kids. I'm bashing the adults who put them up there to be judged on physical appearance.
    5. Welcome to the board!

then stop putting pictures of your kids dressed up like mini-tarts all over the internet. it's not like they're private. google 'pageant' and about a thousand of them pop up, each one more disturbing than the next. you're the weirdo living vicariously through your daughter and sexualising her and putting her on display like she's a piece of meat before she's even hit puberty.
what about encouraging her to be smart and developing her intellect instead of her baton-twirling and etiquette? encourage her to read books instead of posing in a swimsuit.

It's always someone elses fault. It couldnt POSSIBLY be your fault for taking the picture in the first place.

    *sigh*

    Lets go through this again.

YOU put your child out on display. YOU put your child out there to be judged on stage. I'm assuming YOU put the photos of your child on the internet. Now, why is your child, or any pageant child being laughed at? Because of YOU and the way YOU dress her and the way YOU apply her make up and the way YOU objectify her.

Enjoy your time here Pageant Mom.

That's correct. See, when pageant moms put pictures of their kids on the internet, they only want positive, glowing comments on how they look.

Honey, it's a big world out there. If you can't handle the entire range of human expression being applied to your kids after putting them on display, then you SHOULD NOT BE PUTTING THEM ON DISPLAY.

The world isn't filtered just for your sensibilities. The sooner you grow the fuck up and realize that, the sooner you'll stop putting your fakebake, plastic toothed, fake haired whore makeup kid on stage to prance around like a show dog.
