I had to resurrect this thread...

I just heard "I Will Survive" and couldn't help but start bopping around a little bit. I always think of that scene in "In and Out" where the tape keeps telling Kevin Kline's character not to start dancing!
You were lucky to have me. But you know what? I think I already got the best part of you. And she's standing right out there. I don't know... what's left just doesn't look so good anymore. Hope Floats

When I read "I Will Survive" in the beginning of your post, I immediately started thinking of that Kevin Kline scene. LOL!

Voice on Tape: For God's sake, don't shake that booty!

Voice on Tape: Well, how did you do... prissy boy.

I agree. Anything by MIA is good except I'm really into that "Me and U" song by Cassie although like you said the way I dance people think I'm trying to sneak up on them haha.

Strike it Up - Black Box
    Love Hangover - Diana Ross
Sexual Healing - Marvin Gaye (with a partner is best)

We are Family - Sister Sledge

You're right! I think it's that thumping base - gets those hips going every time. I LOVE doing the Twist, but you gotta get the hands just right (loose wrists). Watch John Travolta and Uma Thurman do it in Pulp Fiction. SOOOO cool. He may be stuck in the closet, but damn he can dance.

I love that song. I always thought it was Van Morrison though - the things you learn, eh?
