I like to hit the treadmill/stairmaster/eliptical/bike to a fairly fast beat - it's the only way I can sweat through it - so I have an iPod full of trance and techno stuff. Too many tunes to mention, but anything with the 'right' beat (about 120/min) works for me. Disco/dance stuff is a bit too slow.

I also like Destiny's child coz it has plenty of attitude but I don't think theres too many DC fans on here

I was actually listening to Beyonce - Crazy in Love on my treadmill last night, I wasn't running, just walking quickly and I really got into the song and started doing a kinda diva strut thing, swinging my hips and arms and mouthing the words when my mum walked in, I was embarrassed so I panicked and tried to stop and almost fell off!
lol how embarrasing, that kinda thing has happend to me before too!

Yes! That song always come into my head when I'm working out!

This may sound weird but "Supermodel" by Rupaul is a really good one. It really gets you energized.

There's a big steep hill in my walk, and these songs help get me up & over it. Keep in mind that I'm, uh, over 30:

    Fighter (Christina)
    Rollercoaster (RHCP)
    One Vision (Queen)
    Walk Away (Kelly Clarkson)
    Freedom 90 (George Michael)
Walk this way (Run DMC & Aerosmith)

All I can think of at the moment.

Living Dead Girl (Dance remix) by Rob Zombie
Sex Type Thing by the Stone Temple Pilots
This is the new shit by Marylin Manson
Killing in the name of by Rage Against the Machine

It's a bit heavier than my normal music, but I find it great for the treadmill or weight-lifting.

Me too! I have all the Rocky songs on my Mp3 player. They are very motivating. I also like "The Final Countdown" by Europe. Keeps me running!

I've been downloading Podrunner off itunes podcasts. It's dj'd electronic workout music with bpm. It helps me keep pace.

But I have some regular music too. One song that always motivates me is You Dropped a Bomb on Me Baby" by the Gap Band

I go on 3-4 mile walks every other day, and listening to trance helps keep my feet moving at a nice pace. I've downloaded a lot of Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren tracks at limewire. I also like listening to 80's stuff like Berlin, Duran Duran, Roxy Music and Pat Benetar.

Default Help me put together a great work out playlist

I do a lot of running and sprinting so I need music that keeps my energy up. For some reason I always draw a blank when I actually go to put a play list together. Any ideas?

ETA: Sorry, I totally missed this thread. Thanks for merging.
