I pictured this king with a crown driving this big Cadillac type car, and of course he gets stuck (it was snowing, all big cars get stuck in the snow!) and he accidentally drove over some guy named Steven, who I figured probably slipped and fell in the snow under the car. What an idiot I was.

Don't know if this was mentioned but, that Sophie B Hawkins song "As I lay me down to sleep", I could swear that the background singers say "I love tacos"

God this thread is so funny!!!
When I was young I thought Paul Young was singing... "Every time you go away, you take a piece of meat with you..." !! (it should be "piece of ME"). I was so puzzled as to why this chick was carrying around bits of steak with her and why Paul was bothered enough to write a song about it!
    Curiouser and curiouser...

My new favourite misheard lyrics! (I came up with them)
Anal Sex of Love- Take That
(It's actually Ain't So Sense to Love, but it really sounds like Anal Sex if you sing along to that)

You have no idea how funny that is, I'm listening to that as I type this because I went to check. It's so funny! It's so random in the song, too. "I love tacos!"

In Marilyn Manson's song Mechanical Animals i thought he was singing 'We were homophobic' when the real lyrics are 'we were neurophobic'
In the same song I misheard the line "A manniqueen of depression" as "The manic queen of depression". I like my version better.

I also thought it was "Hang on Stupid" instead of "Hang on Sloopy" as some people mentioned before.

I used to hear "She likes it from behind" in the song "Dirty little mind".

Also I never got the weird chorus-thing in the Moby song "Why does my heart feel so bad". It's actually "These open doors". My friends and I used made the strangest guesses.

i thought id revive this thread with a misheard song lyric which my mum pointed out to me yesterday... she was listening to her Elvis Presley album while i was helping her clean the kitchen. I started singing along to Kentucky Road...

    My version....
Oh this lonely Kentucky Fried Goat

    The correct version...
    On this lonely Kentucky backroad

wonder if Colonal Sanders ever considered putting Kentucky Fried Goat on the menu??
Alicia Silverstone: "I think that the film Clueless was very deep. I think it was deep in the way that it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if it's true lightness."
