Went to see my beloved Dolly a couple of months ago, it was a fantastic show. People of all ages were there, and beautiful drag queens galore! Lots of Dolly love all around.

this wednesday, saw the kissaway trail, the national and interpol at the montreux jazz festival.
the kissaway trail were good but the national were fucking incredible. go see them if they pass through your area.
and interpol was pretty great. i like them but i'm not crazy about them, but i loved their show, it was way better than i expected. they have sooo much energy and they know how to put on a good show.

I cannot wait for August 16th; I'm going to see the love of my life Trent Reznor (I swear I wanted to marry him when I was 9).

eek was great! i really like the singjaying style & he is so great at it. he's a legend to me & i love that he is so personable in his shows. a lot of reggae singers, when seeing them live, have a tendency to come across as a little too spiritual/preachy for me. he doesn't fall into that category; he comes across as really fun. i'm glad that he tours in my area a lot, because seeing eek is a real treat.
don carlos cancelled, but was replaced by everton blender, who was really great! he's got a dancehall sound to his music & a lot of energy; the crowd really dug him. he's been around quite a long time & is pretty legendary in his own right, imo.
t'was a great night of great reggae!

The last one was Paulina Rubio. She was awesome. She was much better in concert than I thought she'd be and made someone do a tequila shot with her. Also, gorgeous, IMO.
I have tix to see the Gipsy Kings next weekend. We see them every summer. They are the BOMB.

I've just recently discovered Disturbed. I'm in love with their song, Inside the Fire. What other songs of theirs are good?

 to mooms! Missed you!!
Disturbed has a ton of great stuff. Let's see, check out the following:
Down With the Sickness (probably their most popular song, but it still rocks IMO)
Stupify
Shout 2000 (KICKASS Tears for Fears cover)
Voices
Prayer
Remember
Guarded
Stricken
Land of Confusion ( Phil Collins cover, again, great cover track)
Perfect Insanity
That's just a few, all of which were singles. Let me know what you think!

I saw the fabulous Loretta Lynn at the Warren County Fair in VA last night and she was wonderful, and although she is getting up there, she gave it her all and still has a great voice - and she sang every word live.
