In the last 2 weeks, Paul McCartney at Yankee stadium (amazingly great), U2 at Giants Stadium (not as good Bono-wise as in past concerts).

Went to 311/Sublime last night! Fucking awesome! Rome actually held his own with the Sublime boys, and 311 rocked it as I expected! First time seeing both and I had a freaking blast. Too bad the venue banned tailgating this summer or it would have been a real shit show!

The party keeps going with Bloody Mary's at our favorite watering hole and a BLT on the side

Motorhead with Sepultura supporting them, we had a real treat as the new sing er who had replaced Max Cavalera started to sing "Roots Bloody Roots" and then said I cant sing this as well as this man, and Max hit the stage and the crowd went mad

I've not been to it yet but I've been talked into going to a Gary Numan gig in the next week or two. I don't know WTF I was thinking....

God I'm old. It was a James Taylor and Carole King concert about a year and a half ago. It was quite amazing--they both sounded just like they used to and they put on a beautiful show.

God I'm old. I seriously need to get out more.

I went to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra in Spokane on Black Friday. As many times as I've seen them over the years, I didn't think it was their best effort, but it's the Holiday tradition and I always enjoy it.

Gary Numan at the HMV Ritz in Manchester. We had a really good night (the Mister is a huuuuge fan) and were right down at the front. The pictures I took aren't that great but then I was using my incredibly antiquated phone. I might add some more when Bloke sorts out his.

I never knew they did concerts until a friend told me that he went. He said it was awesome because of the lights and stuff. I watched their videos on Youtube, and it does seem cool.

    How much were tickets?

It really depends on the location, but they donate a portion of every ticket sold to a local charity wherever they are playing. There are actually 2 touring bands and each is headed by one of the founders. I think They generally tour the Christmas Eve and Other Stories from early November to New Years.

Their show has gotten pretty high tech over the years I've seen them, but their sound equipment is too much for the venues they're playing. This year's show was uncomfortably loud for me.

Still my favorite kick off to the Holiday season!
