for sputnik -

destroyer. in a small venue in sint-jans-molenbeek (brussels). dan bejar sang his way through most of the songs with his microphone in his right hand and a bottle of beer in his left hand. when his band was playing and he didn't have to sing or play the tambourine, he'd crouch down and take a sip from his glass. it was pretty funny to see. as for the music... live it's incredibly intense. when i listen to his music at home, i go sit in a chair or in front of my laptop but last night it was impossible not to dance. i loved the drums and saxophone. and the electronic sounds that pop up from time to time. we had loads of space too because there weren't that many people. they played for almost two hours... it was truly superb.

oh man i am sooooo jealous. he is one guy i really really hope i get to see live. i am obsessed with that last album.

Paul Revere and the Raiders. I wanted to relive my youth by going to see them at the fair. they were a group from the 60's. mark Lindsay the lead singer is in the top pic. the bottom pic is him at the fair. it was like a brick to my face.

Can't wait. The Mr. is coming with me. Finally a concert he won't yawn through. The venue is a small industrial place. It'll be awesome. Super cheap, too.

Back in June on vacation I saw Heart and Def Leppard. Ann Wilson still sounds like you are listening to a record and I gotta admit Def Leppard was pretty good too.

Last Saturday I saw Motley Crue and the New York Dolls. Had a great time even in the wet weather.

Last night I saw Motley Crue and Poison. First time seeing Motley Crue, loved it, Tommy is still hot....playing those drums upside down is just sick. Going to see Def Leppard in August. Can't wait!

Wisin y Yandel; they were amazing! did a long show, talked w/ the audience, did all their hits old and new, were very physical (especially considering they were doing 2 shows in a row in LA), sang really well and hard, Wisin even brought his toddler daughter out it was so cute
