    Both shows I was planning on seeing at DC9 were canceled, which is disappointing. No Class Actress/Small Black or Diamond Rings for me. I do have Tennis/Walkmen to look forward to in December though.

    sucks about the cancelled shows but the walkmen??? sooooo jealous. i've been dying to see them for years.

    saw caribou (ex manitoba) and cfcf this weekend. cfcf were fun but caribou were out of this world good. and there was an after party after and dan snaith was dj'ing and he was fantastic.

    saw Fishbone last week, awesome.

    Me too. Plus all but one are from the DC area, so it's a hometown show. Should be great.

    Saw Roger Waters Saturday. Very good concert.

    I have tickets to see Toots & The Maytalls this week. Can't wait!

    Janelle Monae & Of Montreal. Both were spectacular. Front row. Kevin Barnes on his knees signing to me, yeeeeeeah. Rawwwr.

    and somehow managed to control myself and not break down into fangirl hysterics.
    and the show was incredible. they are such a good live band.

    i went with a friend who's friends with the promoter and we got the full vip treatment - vip lounge before the show and after, and then we hung out with the band for a couple of hours getting quite drunk on chilean wine. they're super friendly and nice.
    the funny thing is, i actually paid for my ticket and my friend called me the afternoon of the show to invite me and i already had my ticket so i took the one he gave me and gave mine to a friend. it was a sit down show in a small theatre and i'd gotten a good seat in the second row but their courtesy tickets were front row centre so it was even more awesome.
