Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago 4 days ago.
Had 4th row center seats and I swear to Christ I could reach out and touch the trombones.
They played together and apart and it all rocked. Philip Bailey can SING and just the horns and drums in both bands were awesome.
I could SWEAR the Fat Baldwin brother was sitting in front of me too. Sounded like him, looked like him and he acted like him: obnoxious.
GREAT CONCERT THOUGH.
The Gipsy Kings about a 1.5 week ago.
Adooore them.
I went to the Download festival in Donnington last month, it was great. Saw loads of bands, off the top of my head the best were Slipknot, Dir En Grey, Motley Crue, Pendulum, Korn and Limp Bizkit. Marilyn Manson was shit, and I was about a mile back from the stage for The Prodigy because they were headlining the second stage but everyone wanted to see them.
I smile because I have no idea what's going on
saw cat power about a week and a half ago. she was awesome.

I went this past Saturday and saw Sponge, Seven Mary Three, and Days of the New. Such a fun and awesome time in a great setting.
Happy trails to you...until we meet again. I love & miss you Dad.
saw Elbow in Atlanta last Saturday. it was so soothing! love them!
Bat for Lashes with Other Lives as the opener about an hour ago.
Saw Cheap Trick, Poison, & Def Leppard last night. I kind of went on a lark, but ended up having a really great time. I missed the first of Cheap Trick's set trying to get in, and they played I Want You to Want Me first! Boo! Poison & Def Leppard were both awesome. Joe Elliott hasn't seen a donut he hasn't liked in a while, but he still jumped his ass around the stage a good bit. Phil Collen was barechested from the first, and I figured he was advertising for companionship for the evening from the cheapo strippers taking up the first few rows.
What cracked me up were how many people were in full 80s regalia without a shred of irony. Plenty of sprayed hair, guys in spandex and women in acid washed jeans. I expected it to be tongue in cheek, but not so much.
i went to see Tesla last night. They were great. It really took me back to my youth, they rock! It was also enjoyed the people watching. There were die hard rockers, bikers, kids, teased hair, mullets, acid washed "mom" jeans, a little of everything. But the show kicked ass. I miss the 80's.

Man I used to love Tesla had no idea they were still touring. I went to Cruefest a couple of weeks back in Atlanta. It was really awesome and two weeks before that I saw Paul McCartney. Jeez he just gets better and better. He played 33 songs. Not too shabby for 67.
^ Paul McCartney was in Atlanta the same night I saw Poison & Def Leppard. I'd already agreed to go to Poison/Def Leppard when McCartney's tickets went on sale, otherwise I'd have been all over it! I bet it was awesome.
It really, really was even though I might be a bit biased as a long term Beatles fanatic. It was a great night with my family. We had three generations there. My mom and her sister, me, my sister and our cousins and my daughter and my cousin's daughter. Passing the Beatles love! Were you inside for Poison/Def Leppard? We got a little wet at the park!
