Karen Carpenter, Maria Callas, Ann Wilson are just a few that come to mind.

Correct on all those. Cass Elliott has the soaring, powerful female voice you hear on all those tracks, especially Dream A Little Dream.
Why do people say "Grow some balls"? Balls are weak and sensitive! If you really wanna get tough, grow a vagina! Those things take a pounding! -Betty White
I hear Raina on my music channel I listen to everyday. But for some reason I thought her name was spelled Reina. Is it the same one who sings "Forgive", "If I Close My Eyes" and "Love of My Life" with Lucas Prata?Originally Posted by dragonlady
I love Cass Elliot's voice and I love Andrea Corr's (The Corrs) voice. Both women's voices were/are flawless.
Yep, same singer. I did mess up her name (I have a friend who spells it that way so I always get messed up). But the song I really like is "Find Another Woman"....really liked her voice on that one.Originally Posted by SammysMom

What harmony!!!
I would pick Patsy Cline's voice even if we have the same range and not dissimilar voices. She's got a purity of tone and depth that most singers cannot touch.
I also love Celine Dion's voice.
Im ashamed to say what I did for a klondike bar...
Sarah McLachlan. There are others, but I love her voice!

Joan Sutherland-so many possibilities, and truly great. Cecilia Bartoli as a great tone, Opal Enthroned's is very interesting and expressive. Simone Simons' is small, but has a very pleasant tone.
Mens voices, I'd have to go with Phil Anselmo (technically very flawed, but so versatile and expressive), Chuck Billy (best growl I've ever heard) or Freddie Mercury.

Joan Baez, back in the day.
