Beautiful. Was hoping to hear this live when Pearl Jam toured Australia last month but unfortunately they didn't play it at the show I went to.

Not being a real opera buff, I'd never heard of this opera singer, but
came across this amazing version of my favorite aria from Madama
Butterfly (Puccini). Her name is Raina Kabaivanska and at the time of
this performance she was 49 (!) years old.

And Ellan Vannin as sung by The Bee Gees, a song that means a lot to him as he's Manx himself and worked for the IoM Steam Packet Co in his younger days on the Snaefell and (I think) the King Orry.

A Dutch friend of mine pointed me towards this clip.
From what I understand, this is a show in which artists sing each other's
songs. I don't know the original version of this particular song, but one
of the guys in the clip is the original singer and this lady singer is doing
the cover. She's one helluva vocalist and has some major pipes on her.
Although I'm usually not a fan of the foghorn style of singing (like
Whitney Houston's butchered version of I will always love you), it
works for me in this song (maybe because I don't understand all the
    lyrics, LOL).
Totally live performances of this level are pretty much extinct nowadays,
with all the lip synching and autotuning. Hats off to this amazing artist!

YouTube - cyndi lauper - money changes everything

Cyndi Lauper singing "Money Changes Everything". I wasn't even a fan but her voice blew me away, and I love how she's so angry. It really gets going around the 3:30 mark.
