Beverly Hills, 90210. Every single time that double beat at the beginning comes, I find myself pumping my fist in the air a la what Brandon did to Dylan in the opening credits!

I agree. It's the Oprah theme song I associate with my childhood and coming home from school in the afternoon because my mom watched Oprah a lot back then:

Fun facts - It was composed by Quincy Jones and Rod Temperton and is known as "Harpoprah"/a.k.a. "Oprah's Theme"

And Carlton dancing to it always makes me giggle:

I guess it's mostly just a function of age, but I co-sign on all these. Especially Addam's family, Gilligan, MTM, and MASH. I have a little softspot for the Welcome Back Kotter song, too, not to mention Cheers.

I love those shows where just hearing the theme makes you happy because you know something good is coming on--for me, the theme to St Elsewhere always did that. Not to mention the Rockford Files theme.

Again not really a theme but I loved Veronica Mars using We Used to Be Friends by the Dandy Warhols. It was fitting and it's an awesome song to boot.

Fucking 'Simon& Simon' and 'Magnum P.I.'......and Cheers and even.....wait for it 'WKRP in Cincinnati'....just makes me happy. Family Ties too. AND an old Oprah opening! I loved her 1989 opening!

Too dumb to post the actual themes, just take my word please.
I can't either, so forgive me if "The Beverly Hillbillys" has been posted because that IS the best.

My son loves the opening of American Horror Story... I always say "Who the hell is that? Skrillex?" and he says "shut up, mom!"
Kill him.
Kill her.
Kill It.
Kill everything... that IS the solution!

The Persuaders for me. I'm pretty sure this TV show is unknown in the US but I loved it and it has one of the best themes and opening sequences ever:

ETA: What is this crap with video restrictions I wanted to include two other videos but I guess I'll have to do it another time.

What if Superman is psychotic and everyone can see that he's Clark Kent but they just play along not to set him off?

^ Yeah, I had posted the Persuaders theme in an earlier post that included more tunes. I wanted to repost it on this new board with the new codes and found out the restriction of 1 clip per post. GRRRRRR

^Awesome, isn't it the best? I also love how you see in the opening how different their backgrounds are.

And... well, seeing this in my formative years may have left me with an epic crush on both Roger Moore and Tony Curtis, lol.

I don't know if it's the theme itself or the fact that it brings me back to the 90's but Party of Five and the Bodeans' "Closer to Free"

Wow, look how young and sober Matthew Fox looked! Neve Campbell looks the same.
