I love mostly 80's & 90's Country female singers. My favorite is Mary Chapin Carpenter. If you ever have the chance listen to her song "Only a Dream" It's about sisters and it makes me cry. I also love Trisha Yearwood. She has the best voice in music after Linda Ronstadt. Dixie Chicks are great.
I also love Kathy Mattea, Suzy Boggus, Roseanne Cash, Emmlou Harris.
I love Brad Paisley, Hal Ketchum, Garth Brooks, John Berry.
So many others too that I like. I can't name them all.

I have a hard time with Sugarland in the same way I have a hard time with Reba. The way Jennifer Nettles and Reba pronounce some of their words, bothers me. They are both awesome singers anyway.

Hal Ketchum is one of my favorites. Saw a concert of his once and it was excellent.

I saw Hal in concert too with Patty Loveless. It was great. He is so sexy and his voice is smooth. "Say Forever" is one of my favorite songs.

Patty Loveless is a good one too, I like Sara Evans also.

Danni Leigh is a singer that I loved a few years ago but she did like one album and haven't heard anything from her since.

I absolutely loathe Country Music in general. Not sure I could even name 5 songs, but there have been a few that penetrated the Top 40 stations back in the day that I don't hate. One by the Dixie Chicks--Cowboy Take me away or something like that. And that damn drunk song by Garth Brooks (for obvs reasons) 'Friends in Low Places'. I know almost no other songs. And its just a huge genre of music, that I am completely out of the loop about. I don't get it personally. But then, some people don't understand the music I like either. So, its cool.

I have friends that will listen to nothing BUT Country and will go see anyone Country that comes down the pike. One, even asked my husband for tickets to....LeAnn Rimes this past November (since she was playing the Casino that my hub works at). I almost unfriended her on FB and stopped talking to her completely after. WTF? Luckily, LeAnn was 'sick' and cancelled the show. Or, gee, could it have been lack of ticket sales? Hmmm.....not sure.
