I still like shiny disco balls but it makes me wanna be a bad party girl. I was usually rolling my ass off to that song. Sting Me Red is still a fav too. What fun times. Ok, digging through the old music and playing some funky house for my tummy(baby) tonight.

Er, my husband and I found a Meatloaf CD in our collection. Neither of us will fess up to buying it, but I know *I* didn't buy it. Not even in the eighties.

We're keeping it around, though, on the off chance its worth something to our Grandchildren. Pop culture is funny that way.

No seriously, Nick Cave, Crowded House, Silver Chair, Savage Garden, Wolfmother, Jet, INXS, etc.
Australia's rock music scene has always been brilliant. That "Homebake crowd" is some of the best music in the world.

As for pop music... well, we gave the world Kylie *shrugs*

The Scorpions are playing here sometime this month... and a couple of others - Marshall Tucker Band, ... can't remember who else - it sounded like all 80's bands

Does anyone out there have New Kids on the Block, AKA "NKOTB"? When they first came out, I was in their exact target audience (12-16), and I was the only one on my "block" (hee) that COULD NOT STAND THEM. I didn't know much about music as a kid, but I knew when crap was crap. But they were bigger than Jesus when I was in junior high. So someone out there has gotta have 'em. Or did they go out in the trash with the rest of the cassette tapes?
