Re: Rowling changing her name for her new book
^^ I'm willing to bet that Garth never plays those Chris Gaines
songs in concert. It was a ludicrous attempt to broaden his audience.

I will admit, though, that he looked 100 percent better as Chris Gaines.

Yeah, that was kind of like when Coke decided to change original Coke and had to go back again. One of the those things you want everyone to just forget about!

Chris Gaines looked like a combo of Anthony Keidis and Derek Zoolander.

I wish my brain would work right these days! I remember there was supposed to be a movie, Chris Gaines was the main character, the cd was supposed to be the soundtrack. All of that was scrapped and the cd was still released, making Brooks look like a nut job. It was basically a concept that wasn't followed through.

Your right mklady. The movie was called The Lamb and was suppose to be released in 2000. And I actually liked the song he released, Lost In You. Oh and he is Derek Zoolanders's twin brother. HAHA

I have to say I am not a country music fan at all but I liked this cd. I would have liked to see what they would have doen with the Gaines. I liked the cd a lot. I knew his country music fans would not like it so he was screwed but I think he could have doen some interesting things. He already was selling 1 mil.+ cds, he doisn't need to expand his audience.
