Dont have to listen to it to know it sucks.
ETA: Yup, I was right. It sucks. And now I need cottonballs for my bleeding ears.

Sounds like a typical country song to me. no worse than some I've heard. But..not any better.

Meh, it doesn't suck, it's a pretty cute run-of-the-mill country-pop song. Definitely heard better though, this won't burn up the charts, it'll just languish. Like her career.

That wasn't very good. And she's not a very good singer at all.

I'll admit it here: I went through a country phase. This was in-between my 80's hair band phase and my emo rock phase... (shaddup all of youse)... and she's nothing spectacular... no Martina, Faith, or Sara... and don't even THINK about comparing her to Tammy or Patsy.

It's alright SJ, I went through my country phase too. I will say that it's a spectacularly fitting genre for when you're going through a breakup.
It's a cute but boring song, only a performer with a lot of spark and personality could make it worthwhile of being on the radio. Not Jessica, needless to say.

Ok, I take it back... I've heard a lot worse in the country music genre... but this is, at best, mediocre... like you said: a cutesy song that might get a few plays on some radio stations, but nothing amazing.... just another stopover for a train headed to shitsville.
And country music is amazing for breakups... not that I'd know personally..

Nothing special. Generic song. I don't see it making an impact on country radio.
Joe once again thinks too much of his daughter:
"Everything in our business is about beats and I think she really wants to sing," he said, "and country music still believes in that."
Her vocals on that song weren't that good.
"And I think country is the the only pure, storytelling kind of genre left."
What story did Jessica tell? The song was as vapid as any bubblegum pop song.

I love how Joe made a comment that because she's "from Texas" it's only natural she do a country album.
I'm from Texas, too, Joe... let me go get my shotgun and ten gallon hat and I'll hop in my Ford pickup and meet you at the saloon.
