I like a few songs by them but they get rather boring after a while. Nothing special.

You know, they are my favourite band but I'd have to agree with you there. It took me until this week to really dig Under the Iron Sea (OMG, it's awesome) and I doubt I ever will with Hopes and Fears.
My favourites of theirs are, and in order I might add:
A Bad Dream (STELLAR!!)
Hamburg Song (lovely)
&
We Might As Well Be Strangers
But I'm really digging Crystal Ball and that part in Nothing in My Way where it goes "for a lonely soul, you're having such a nice time". Damn catchy!
New album this year. Yay! I am sick of artists deciding that two years isn't a big enough break. It's nice to have a 'normal' routine.

I like "Somewhere Only We Know". Something about it is sort of haunting.

I love this song. Best song of 2006 for me. (The year was, itself, a bad dream.)

we used that for the very last song at our wedding reception....I suppose not all the lyrics are particularly fitting but we still loved it.

LOL ^^
Honestly, that was the only song of Keane's I heard until mid-2006 and I thought very little of it. Not badly, just little. Then I heard 'We Might As Well Be Strangers' on the movie Raise Your Voice and so I did some research and oddly enough about that same week, Under the Iron Sea was released.
I love We Might As Well. So sombre. And beautiful. I love sad shit like that.
And now, I really like Somewhere Only We Know! I guess I didn't at first because it sounded like The Darkness. And in fact even now, I think that the lead singer of Keane sounds like the lead singer of Queen.
I hate the lead singer of Queen's voice, but I can deal with Keane's.

i don't like. at first, they ripped off radiohead, then they started ripping off coldplay with occasional nods to U2.
boring, unoriginal and cliché.

Well thank God they're not U2. I'd have to shoot myself.

I love the guy's voice, gives me goosebumps when he sings Somewhere Only We Know. I don't have their albums, but I think the music is beautiful in that song, and I like Everybody's Changing too.

Oh I love that song too! Heard it One Tree Hill once...
beeyotch I highly recommend A Bad Dream. Like a fine wine... gets better with age. Ah, love it to pieces. I could marry it and have its babies. So so so powerful. Been used on Scrubs and The OC and a bunch of other shows...

So, what do people think of their new album? I really like it. Especially the song Perfect Symmetry.
